This is the tour for truly experiencing all the amazing highlights our farm has to offer!

A family member will host you on a beautiful drive through the extensive property. We keep our tours as authentic as possible, showing our guests what is happening on the farm that day, during that particular time of year.

Whether you have never set foot on a farm, or are well experienced in the industry, we tailor the tour to suit your individual interests depending on what you would like to see/learn about on the farm.

Private access to a real working farm
Learning all about how the farm is run and how we care for the animals
Getting up close with mobs of cattle and sheep
Learning about our journey into regenerative agriculture and our plan for a sustainable farming future
Meeting our working dogs
Opportunity to see a work dog moving cattle or sheep (please request on booking)
Handling, touching and feeding friendly sheep
Bottle feeding lambs (October – November only)
Asking any questions you want to know about how we farm
Touring the wool shed, learning about wool economics and why we shear our sheep*
A delicious morning/afternoon tea of fresh home baking and tea/coffee**

*Our entire flock of sheep is shorn professionally in Winter.

Duration: 2 hours
Capacity: Up to 7 people (we can arrange more if booked well in advance)
Operates: October to May
Tours: Mon – Sat 10.00am or 2.00pm but some flexibility possible (Bookings essential)
Closed: Sun and public holidays.
Transport: All guests must make their own way to Benlea Farm

Please try to arrange your tour at least 24 hours in advance, the sooner the better to secure the spot you want.

We can run 2 tours per day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon. During the summer we might be able to do 3 tours in a day.

Because we are very much a working farm, we rearrange our days or work longer hours so we can do these tours. We feel it is so important for people to be given the opportunity to get out on a real farm so we absolutely love making time for them. But with the realities of running a farming business, our tour spaces are limited – so get in quick and come and see us!!
